Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Departure from Marrakech in the morning. Cross the High Atlas Mountains through the famous Tizi n'Tichka pass, stopping for panoramic views and Berber villages. Visit Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley
After breakfast, continue through Skoura oasis and the Valley of Roses. Enjoy the changing landscapes of southern Morocco before reaching Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and scenic roads. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, travel to Todra Gorge, one of the most impressive canyons in Morocco. Continue via Erfoud and desert landscapes to Merzouga. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi to the camp, where you will watch the sunset, enjoy dinner and listen to Berber music under the stars.

Day 4: Merzouga Exploration – Khamlia – Nomads – Rissani
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region by 4x4. Visit nomad families, discover Khamlia village famous for Gnawa music, and stop in Rissani, known for its traditional market and local atmosphere. Overnight in a hotel near the dunes or in Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt
Today, leave the Sahara and drive north through Erfoud and the beautiful Ziz Valley, one of the most scenic palm valleys in Morocco. Continue through Errachidia and mountain landscapes to Midelt, where you will spend the night in a hotel.

Day 6: Midelt – Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fes Region
After breakfast, continue toward the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop near the cedar forest area, where you may see Barbary macaques, then continue to Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco. After enjoying the alpine-style town, continue toward the Fes region for overnight stay.

Day 7: Fes Transfer or Optional Medina Discovery
After breakfast, we transfer you to your riad, hotel or airport in Fes. Depending on your arrival plans, the last day can be flexible. This route is ideal for travelers looking for a complete 7 days tour from Marrakech to Fes with desert, mountains and cultural highlights.
